Is anyone else getting bothered by Bush’s repeated comments about the illegal workers “doing the jobs Americans just won’t do” … ?

Indrek Wichman Speaks Out

Posted by Eric at 8:37 am. Filed under: War / Terrorism

Michelle reports on Professor Wichman’s controversial email.

Dear Moslem Association: As a professor of Mechanical Engineering here at MSU I intened to protest your protest.
I am offended not by cartoons, but by more mundane things like beheadings of civilians, cowardly attacks on public buildings, suicide murders, murders of Catholic priests (the latest in Turkey!), burnings of Christian chirches, the continued persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt, the imposition of Sharia law on non-Muslims, the rapes of Scandinavain girls and women (called “whores” in your culture), the murder of film directors in Holland, and the rioting and looting in Paris France.

This is what offends me, a soft-spoken person and academic, and many, many, many of my colleagues. I counsul you dissatisfied, agressive, brutal, and uncivilized slave-trading Moslems to be very aware of this as you proceed with your infantile “protests.”

If you do not like the values of the West — see the 1st Ammendment — you are free to leave. I hope for God’s sake that most of you choose that option. Please return to your ancestral homelands and build them up yourselves instead of troubling Americans.

Cordially, I. S. Wichman, Professor of Mechanical Engineering

Dawud Walid, executive director of CAIR is scared.

“It’s scary when you think about the power that this gentleman has” as a professor.

Farhan Abdul Azeez, a senior, thinks the real underlying problem here is a lack of sensitivity.

“There’s a bigger problem here of racism and discrimination at Michigan State University. Faculty training and sensitivity training are very important to help prevent future incidents like this from occurring,” he said.

In other news, the first amendment permits freedom of speech but makes no accomodation for the beheading of infidels, homicide bomings or church burnings.

MORE: Dr. Rusty has more on this story, including a link to Daniel Pipes’ article on Sharia Law at Belmont.

Who would have thought that Belmont University of Nashville, Tennessee, would apply the Islamic law to its staff? But just that happened earlier this month.

Bill Hobbs, a Republican political advisor, blogger, and news writer for Belmont, which bills itself as “the largest Christian university in Tennessee,” was upset in February 2006 about the cowardice of the American media in not publishing the Danish cartoons. So he drew a primitive cartoon of his own and posted it on his personal site. It sat in obscurity until April 5, when …

Muslims Have to Sit on Toilets Sideways

Posted by Eric at 3:40 pm. Filed under: Randomly Interesting

Thank goodness the people overseeing the prison in London had the compassion on their muslim inmates to spend lots of taxpayer money to turn their toilets 90 degrees. Imagine the horror of having to go sitting sideways.

JAIL bosses are rebuilding toilets so Muslim inmates don’t have to use them while facing Mecca.

Thousands of pounds of taxpayers money are being spent to ensure lags are not offended.

The Islamic religion prohibits Muslims from facing or turning their backs on the Kiblah — the direction of prayer — when they visit the lav.

Muslim lags claimed they have had to sit sideways on prison WCs.

But after pressure from faith leaders the Home Office has agreed to turn the existing toilets 90 degrees at HMP Brixton in London.

Keith Olbermann Blames Michelle

Posted by Eric at 11:44 am. Filed under: General

Keith Olbermann is exposed by Newsbusters, via Polipundit, for blaming Michelle for publicizing information that was in a SAW press release.

On Monday’s “Countdown,” host Keith Olbermann demonstrated, as he regularly does, why he should have stuck to being a sportscaster on ESPN (hat tip to Michelle Malkin with video link to follow). In his “Worst Person in the World” segment, Olbermann chose Michelle Malkin for posting the names and phone numbers of UC Santa Cruz students that recently forced military recruiters off the campus. In Olbermann’s words, the students, “as a result, have been inundated with death threats.”

What Keith conveniently failed to inform his viewers was that these phone numbers were actually part of a press release by the organization responsible for the protest, Students Against War. In addition, these names and phone numbers are still available at a number of left-wing websites including this one. I guess Olbermann didn’t think it was important to inform his viewers of this.

TSA Uniform Found in Luggage

Posted by Eric at 8:26 am. Filed under: Randomly Interesting

Last time I flew, I got one of those nice little “we searched your bags” notes, but no uniform.

An airline passenger made a surprising discovery after flying from New Jersey to Florida — When she opened her luggage, she found a uniform belonging to the Transportation Security Administration.

“I couldn’t believe what was on there,” Debra Sanders said.

“Patches for homeland security, TSA all over it, and then the name tag with the number.”

Taxpayer Funded Teen Oral Sex Video

Posted by Eric at 8:48 am. Filed under: Abortion

Yep, you read that right. Dawn Eden’s got all the details.

Did you just pay your state and federal taxes? Good for you! Thanks to taxpayers’ generous funding, Planned Parenthood Golden Gate can afford to make an MTV commercial depicting a young girl going down on her boyfriend under the sheets.

Book Review: Global Deception, by Joseph A. Klein

Posted by Eric at 5:54 am. Filed under: Randomly Interesting

In Global Deception, Joseph Klein essentially argues that U.N. has strayed far from it’s original noble mission of cooperating to solve common problems. He makes a pursuasive argument that “globalists,” including many in the U.N. beauracracy starting at the top with Kofi Annan, essentially want a global governing body funded by global taxes. Mr. Klein has chapters devoted to the U.N.’s position on taxes, gun restrictions, military action, housing, regulations regarding labor and people with disabilities, among others.

His final call examines the dangerous consequence of integrating international norms and foreign jurisprudence into the decisions of the court systems of the United States.

Much of the content of the book lends itself to an incredulous “that can’t be true,” but Klein has extensively footnoted his work, and the skeptic has the ability to research and verify. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning more about the agenda behind the current driving forces of the United Nations leadership; even if you do not agree with Klein’s conclusions, his seventeen pages of reference notes will provide you with a great deal of resources for your own further research.

Book Review: The Witness, by Dee Henderson

Posted by Eric at 5:51 am. Filed under: Randomly Interesting

The Witness, by Dee Henderson, was provided to me free of charge by Active Christian Media for the purposes of this review. Having never heard of Dee Henderson before, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this book. “Christian novels” often leave much to be desired in terms of quality of plot, character development and even writing styles, but this was done well. It’s not quite John Grisham, but it was a page turner that kept me up too late a couple of nights in a row.

One thing that I found refreshing about this book was the way faith was integrated into the lives of the characters. It was done in a very real and natural way, with the characters questioning the reasons behind tragedy, struggling to deal with it as humans do, and ultimately not providing cheesy cliches full of “answers.” Very well done, Ms. Henderson!

I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good mystery novel!

Block Lucent Merger.

If you were upset about the Dubai ports deal, you should really be concerned about the recently announced Alcatel/Lucent merger.

Alcatel is a French company. Alcatel owns 9.5 % of Thales, Europe’s biggest defense electronics company. Alcatel is trying to expand its holdings of Thales. Lucent gets much of its business from the U.S. military structure, the only thing that’s kept Lucent afloat.

The French socialist government is one of the major players in trying to undermine and destroy the United States through the vehicle of the U.N. The French government is also one of the major players in the ‘being pushed under the rug’ oil for food program, a now disclosed program of massive corruption and payoffs to fuel the tyrannical regime of Saddam Hussein. This cozy relation with enemies of the U.S. has to be highly suspect.

For anyone to think that U.S. military secrets and communication protocol will be protected from getting into the hands of the enemies of the U.S. via the French is truly naïve.

Investment broker Charles Schwab is reporting via Reuters:

Lucent has a wide array of sensitive government contracts, including one for an advanced communications system for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Pentagon’s technology incubator, and the company also does work on laser communications, secure wireless systems and network security.

One complication could also be the fact that Caisse des Depots et Consignations, a French state-owned financial institution, holds about 4.12 percent of Alcatel and 4.22 percent in voting rights, according to a securities filing.

This is an inside spy job just waiting to happen. In fact, spying may be too strong a word. Secure information may be just a matter of observing what will be readily available to ‘connected’ executives. The French socialists despise this country. They are in bed with the corrupt establishment of the U.N. and their cronies. They are also curiously close to the Democrat Party in the U.S. vis-à-vis John Kerry and his comrades. (Remember it was in Paris that Kerry met with the communist leader of North Vietnam, then returned to undermine the U.S. war effort.)

And to add comfort and security to the deal…

Lucent Technologies Inc. , which has agreed to be acquired by France’s Alcatel , on Monday tapped three former Clinton administration national security officials to oversee a new subsidiary that will handle its sensitive U.S. government contracts.

It is interesting that only Clinton people are being tapped for this job. You can’t trust the Clinton people with national security. Remember they are the ones who gave rocket technology to the Chinese in exchange for campaign money. The Clinton folks are as corrupt as the French and in bed with this anti-U.S. element.

And to show you how informed Congress is:

Loren Thompson, Lexington Institute defense analyst with close ties to the Pentagon, predicted mounting questions about the merger, noting that most U.S. lawmakers were unaware until last week about the extent of Lucent’s classified work.

The military is concerned:

He said military officials also had concerns as did Democrats, who have released a security agenda echoing Hunter’s effort to prevent outsourcing of critical infrastructure.
“A senior military officer told me just this morning how upset he was about the deal,” said Thompson.

To put it simply, the French cannot be trusted, especially with American military secrets.
They opposed the Iraq war because they were on the take. Saddam Hussein was paying them off. They were in his pocket and giving him needed information and cover. As of this writing we, the public, do not know how much of this French, U.N. game was to allow Saddam Hussein to move his weapons of mass destruction out of Iraq (most likely to Syria or Lebanon).

Chief executive of Lucent, Patricia Russo demonstrates why Lucent is doing so poorly:

Russo is slated to become CEO of the combined company when the merger closes. Russo said the agreement carried a $500 million fee “for both sides” in the event the merger falls apart.

Kind of like blackmailing stockholders and government officials.

And it’s a lousy deal for Lucent stockholders:

Under the terms of the deal, Lucent shareholders will receive 0.1952 of an ADS (American Depositary Share) of Alcatel for every common share of Lucent that they currently hold.

The deal values Lucent at about $3.01 per share, or slightly below its closing stock price of $3.05 on the New York Stock Exchange Friday.

Some analysts also expressed caution:

“Lucent has been struggling for years to improve its profitability with little success,” Nomura said in a note on Monday. “We see significant risk of a merger that ends up destroying value.”

This is a bad deal all around for both Lucent shareholders and U.S. security.

It looks like Russo is more concerned with getting herself a cushy socialist French job than running a decent company and building value for customers and shareholders.

Block this Lucent deal. Here’s what you can do…

If you own shares of Lucent, vote “no” on the proposal.

If you own shares of a mutual fund that owns shares of Lucent, contact the fund manager(s) and tell them to vote “no.” If your mutual fund refuses then sell your shares and move your money to another fund that doesn’t hold Lucent or who will vote “no.” There are lots of good mutual funds. You don’t have to keep your money in a fund that doesn’t care about national defense.

Also contact your Congressman/woman and tell them to block this deal. Write President Bush as well.

This deal makes the Dubai ports deal look like a ‘happy meal’.

Media, Democrats Ignore Jill Carroll Torture, Forced Propaganda.

After running a barrage of headlines touting the anti-American, pro-terrorist forced words of Jill Carroll, the MSM goes silent when the truth is revealed.

The case of Jill Carroll is yet another example of the anti-American, hate Bush, terrorist loving position of the U.S. media. When Ms. Carroll was saying what the media wanted to hear it was like gold; it fit well their template for “news.”

But now that we learn that Jill Carroll was forced to say these things at the points of three machine guns and on the threat of death, the media headlines suddenly change the subject. Jill Carroll has merely “arrived in Boston.” How pathetic.

From Jill Carroll’s statement after safely in American hands…

During my last night in captivity, my captors forced me to participate in a propaganda video. They told me they would let me go if I cooperated. I was living in a threatening environment, under their control, and wanted to go home alive. I agreed.

Things that I was forced to say while captive are now being taken by some as an accurate reflection of my personal views. They are not.

I also gave a TV interview to the Iraqi Islamic Party shortly after my release. The party had promised me the interview would never be aired on television, and broke their word. At any rate, fearing retribution from my captors, I did not speak freely. Out of fear I said I wasn’t threatened. In fact, I was threatened many times.

Also, at least two false statements about me have been widely aired: That I refused to travel and cooperate with the US military and that I refused to discuss my captivity with US officials. Again, neither is true.

Clearly we can see that, when it comes to the liberal media, no torture is too bad when it is committed by their beloved terrorists. And murder? I guess it’s just all part of the struggle. (Remember Jill Carroll’s translator was murdered. She could only presume she was next.)

There’s no outrage. No calls for dearly loved investigations are heard; just the ho-hum of arriving home. There are no calls for crackdowns on nations that support such barbarism. It seems there is only disappointment. How could Carroll betray “our liberal cause” with the truth?

Let’s see what the socialist U.S. Democrat Party has to say about this torture.
