4th Grade Educated Taliban Terrorist Admitted to Yale.

In the never ending world of liberal insanity, Sayed Rahmatullah Hashemi, a terrorist spokesman for the former Taliban regime in Afghanistan, has been admitted to Yale University in spite of having only a 4th grade education and getting a B grade on some remedial college work.

One reason for admitting such an inferior student, according to John Fund of the Wall St. Journal

The Times reported that Yale “had another foreigner of Rahmatullah’s caliber apply for special-student status.” Richard Shaw, Yale’s dean of undergraduate admissions, told the Times that “we lost him to Harvard,” and “I didn’t want that to happen again.”

Looks like the competition from Yale’s looney tunes sister was too much.

According to Fund terrorist Hashemi’s well rounded educational pursuits at Yale include this…

One of the courses he has taken is called Terrorism-Past, Present and Future.

Fund seems to be scratching his head…

Something is very wrong at our elite universities. Last week Larry Summers resigned as president of Harvard when it became clear he would lose a no-confidence vote held by politically correct faculty members furious at his efforts to allow ROTC on campus, his opposition to a drive to have Harvard divest itself of corporate investments in Israel, and his efforts to make professors work harder. Now Yale is giving a first-class education to an erstwhile high official in one of the most evil regimes of the latter half of the 20th century–the government that harbored the terrorists who attacked America on Sept. 11, 2001.

Gateway Pundit has more on this.

And Michelle Malkin posts a great letter from a Yale grad, Debbie Bookstaber, who writes…

Over the years, I’ve seen so many qualified students denied admission to Yale. While I was saddened to see these heartbroken students rejected, I understood that Yale just didn’t have enough spots for all the amazing valedictorians with excellent SATs, impressive extracurriculars and an admirable history of community service.

Noting that her husband, an ROTC cadet on a scholarship to Yale, was forced to commute over an hour to the University of Connecticut because of Yale’s disdain for the military’s policy toward homosexuals (ROTC was not allowed on Yale’s campus),

Bookstaber writes…

On the other hand, the Taliban advocated murdering any homosexual and anyone else they felt violated their version of Islam. So ROTC isn’t acceptable because it offends Yale’s standards, but a Taliban leader who condones the Taliban’s policy of brutally killing homosexuals and stoning women for not wearing a burka should be recruited lest Harvard win his matriculation?

Good point.

Unfortuately in the liberal world of relativism, consistency or logic isn’t in the mix; only the agenda where the end justifies the means.

I’ve heard a well founded rumor that this admissions insanity came about through the influence of a well placed liberal journalist. Wouldn’t surprise me.

What liberals don’t get is that they will be trampled by these barbarians whose philosophy and agenda is the antithesis of liberalism. It seems liberals are lost in the self-delusion of their fantasy world. It would indeed be nice if we could just all get along. But barbarians don’t want to get along. They want to destroy you as soon as you are no longer useful to accomplishing their goal of domination.
