Democrat Thugs On Trial in Wisconsin.

Posted by Taste of Liberty at 11:15 am. Filed under: Politics, Courts / Legal

In a big case in Wisconsin the thugs related to Democrat politicians who slashed tires on vans rented by the Republican Party on election day 2004 have begun their day in court.

Sowande Omokunde, son of Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.), Michael Pratt, son of former acting Milwaukee mayor Marvin Pratt, also a Democrat, Justin Howell, Lewis Caldwell, and Lavelle Mohammed were all charged with felonies in the tire slashing incident designed to prevent the Republican Party from getting voters to the polls.

The defendants, all of whom were paid workers for Sen. John Kerry’s campaign, are accused of flattening the tires at about 3:30 a.m. the morning of the election.

Normally with such a big event and being covered by Court TV you would think the media would be all over this. And they would be if the tables were turned and it was the Republican Party that was on trial. But the leftist media are trying to protect their buddies in the radical and now violent Democrat Party.

Honest and decent Democrats need to start looking elsewhere for their political affiliations. It’s sad that the Democrat Party has been taken over by such extremists moving toward the violent. Have they now embraced the terrorist tactics of those they seem to support? Is the rhetoric and behavior of national Democrat leaders translating into violent action? It’s hard not to conclude that words mean things and send messages. The media’s silence is sending a very loud message.

Check more out here.

Michelle Malkin has been covering this as well here complete with mugshots.

Judge Cashman, Catholic Priests, and Alito.

Posted by Taste of Liberty at 10:31 am. Filed under: General

I can’t help but be struck by the way the media is treating the insane verdict of Judge Cashman and the way the media treated the pedophilic marauding of homosexual Catholic priests.

On the one hand we have a judge slapping the hand of a serial rapist. His vision and wisdom seem to almost be worshipped by the liberal media. Now the press may not come out and directly say it, but the underlying current is that Judge Cashman is a visionary; one who espouses the liberal mantra that punishment is abhorrent. Rehabilitation is the buzz word for letting certain crimes go unpunished. Of course if self-confessed rapist Hulett had declared that blacks shouldn’t be getting favored treatment at the University of Vermont or that women as a whole were less competent in math and science than men, that would have been a different story. Then he would have received a long time in the slammer for extenuating considerations.

Of course in the case of the homosexual Catholic priests, according to the liberal media they are the epitome of evil and should be sent away forever. The emphasis in the media was on the Catholic part of priests with a convenient omission of the homosexual affinity of the molesters. In this case the effort was to take out the Catholic Church since its dogma opposes most of what passes for liberalism these days. And it was a clever attempt to protect homosexuals while appearing to care so much about the victims of this clearly perverted behavior.

The contrast couldn’t be more glaring. On the one hand the victim is irrelevant. On the other the victim is the focus of sympathy and great concern. One of the liberal mottos is, “The end justifies the means.” And so in the light of that Hegelian ditty the treatment of these two cases is consistent. It is consistent in another way. It protects the roots of pedophilia.

No wonder the left is petrified of Alito. Their view of the bench is to enact social policy. Since Alito doesn’t subscribe to leftist ideology the left is worried he may legislate policy opposed to their agenda. They may just be surprised. Alito may actually adjudicate according to the law. But be forewarned. If the left doesn’t like those decisions they will accuse him of doing that which they do themselves, legislate from the bench.

Government Sees Growth - Studying How to Screw It Up

Posted by Eric at 9:52 am. Filed under: Politics, Randomly Interesting

The Indiana General Assembly has created a resolution, which they do nearly every year actually, to figure out if they need to regulate homeschooling more, since it apparently is growing without their interference. Any good legislator knows that when you’ve got a good, productive, growing sector, it’s time to consider inserting governmental interference.

Whereas, Homeschooling is increasing in popularity; recent statistics indicate that as many as 2,000,000 children are homeschooled, roughly 2% of the school-aged population of our country;

Whereas, Homeschooling is legal in all 50 U.S. states, but the laws vary from state to state; and

Whereas, Since it is likely that the number of homeschool children will continue to grow, it behooves the state of Indiana to study the possible need for some defined homeschooling guidelines: Therefore, …
