Blair Pulls Plug on Kyoto at Clinton Global Initiative.
In a dramatic reversal, Britain’s Tony Blair has seen the fallacy of the Kyoto accords. The so-called mainstream media is of course ignoring this story, instead choosing to gloat over the Clinton aura of the beauty of the Bill Clinton Global Initiative… and we could really run with that one. (Scott Ott must be having a ball with this one.)

Blair, a longtime supporter of the Kyoto treaty, further prefaced his remarks by noting, “My thinking has changed in the past three or four years.” … “No country,” he declared, “is going to cut its growth.” That is, no country is going to allow the Kyoto treaty, or any other such global-warming treaty, to crimp — some say cripple — its economy.
Looks like the honest liberals at least are beginning to figure out what many have known for awhile. Kyoto is a sleazy effort by the left to clobber western economies. After all, China and India were excluded from the treaty.
It’s encouraging to see more and more honest liberal folks willing to speak out. I can respect that and have more willingness to listen to those of a liberal bent who are willing to be honest. The element of honesty goes a long way toward developing strong community and personal relationships. Problems really get solved and the climate of society vastly improves.
