Heh.

Roberts just said to Chuck Schumer and Diane Feinstein:

I would hope that you would look at my briefs.

Sort of the more polite version of “kiss my grits” I guess. Context? Who needs context? I can anticipate later in the day the following question:

Biden: Judge, earlier today you asked two of our most prestigious Senators to look at your underwear, and I quote “I would hope that you would look at my briefs.” Do you feel that is in any way an appropriate comment for a potential Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to make under oath?

Bush’s Hall Pass

Posted by Eric at 8:16 am. Filed under: General

As everyone by now knows, the President sometimes has to use the bathroom too.

Presidential bathroom break

Here’s another angle (or maybe a wider view).

I must say that despite that fact that I am certain the president must occasionally need a restroom break, that looks a lot like a Photoshopped fake to me. Who in the world holds their hand like that when they write? It’s a small slip of paper, and if you write on it like that without holding it with your other hand, or at least with the pinky finger side of your writing hand, it would slip around on the table.

No one else that I’ve seen seems to be questioning the legitimacy of the picture, just ridiculing the publishing of it.

UPDATE: Reuters stands by the photo, but admits they enhanced it a bit. I still think the hand position is pretty strange.

Ninme is criticizing Drudge for his headline (which I certainly did yesterday in another case), but this time the criticism is not well founded. The emphasis here is not on the tool used, but on the fact of the enhancement.

And everyone is having fun with the photo.
