Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu’s Sister Threatens Bush
Senator Mary Landrieu is the brother of the Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana.
Sen. Mary Landrieu threatened the president of the United States with physical violence on Sunday, saying that if he or any other government official criticizes New Orleans police for failing to keep civil order in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina - “I might likely have to punch him - literally.”

Apparently she thinks it’s also Bush’s fault whenever a photojournalist takes his picture. Violating Federal law by threatening the President of the US with physical violence will really help solve things, won’t it.
It should be noted that after the 1997 New Year’s Day flood in Marysville, CA, when a levee broke in the Feather River, killing four people and destroying somewhere around $200 million in property, the survivors sued. The State of California agreed in July 2005, to pay $45 million to victims of the disaster, not the US Government. The levees along Lake Pontchartrain keep the waters out of New Orleans and therefore would be the city’s responsibility first and foremost. But apparently the city was too busy funding new Casinos. It also would have been the State of Louisiana’s responsibility. But the blame is being tossed at the Bush administration for the lack of attention by the city of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana.
