The Left Reacts: 7/7 London Terrorist Bombings

Posted by Eric at 5:36 pm. Filed under: General

Democracy Guy has an interesting perspective on the left wing reactionaries at KOS. In short, he is glad they weren’t around on 9/11.

As a Democrat, I’m very happy that the lefty blogosphere wasn’t around much on September 11. Because if they were, and they uncorked the response they are uncorking to the London bombings, Democrats might never be electable again in my lifetime.

The Bellman somewhat agrees, but excoriates Powerline for reacting to (predicting?) the left’s reaction rather than focusing on the tragedy at hand.

Dean’s World also points out the Daily Kos’ hateful rhetoric.

And Tim Worstall has quite a collection of links regarding the London Terrorist bombings.

UPDATE: Here’s another amazing one.

Is this a Rovian / Negroponte tactic to take the heat of the Downing Street Memos and the outing of Valerie Plame?

Our hearts go out to the innocents in Afghanistan, Iraq and England - but hold the correct people to blame - Bush and Blair, to account for this - NO ONE ELSE!!

Ah, freedom of speech. Also, in response to the comment by the Bellman, the point is taken, though I am not thoroughly convinced that we will not see similar nutty reactions [just withheld for a few days or weeks] from those who [at least claim to] represent the left side of the political spectrum. It seems almost inevitable that Howard Dean will voice these “Bush and Blair are to blame” sentiments sometime soon.

But I will grant you that there are many (and apparently you are one) who are more liberal in their thinking who do not share the hateful nutty views of so many of the DailyKos and DU posters. You may be wrong about lots of things :-), but at least you are rational, reasoned and respectful.

Dell Expands Domestic Tech Support Center

Playing the Patriotic Card

Whether you can’t understand the customer-service rep or just don’t like offshoring in general, you might find the discussion irksome.

Perhaps not for long, though. The company whose name is nearly synonymous with Indian tech support now intends to double the size of its customer service center in … Oklahoma City. It may be a coincidence, or it may not, that Dell made this announcement on the first business day after July 4.
