Comments on: Justice David Souter’s House to be Taken?

The Board of the City of Weare is protecting Justice Souter by refusing to grant a permit or even consider allowing anyone to take Judge Souter’s property. They figure why kill the golden goose? I’ve written them a letter about our county here in VA which plans to run an unneeded road right across our little farm. Judge Souter’s vote will give greedy developers the ammo they need to take my land no matter WHAT resistance I give. Justice Sandra Day O’Connor warned them that they were trampling on the rights of citizens. There may be hell to pay in the long haul when enough enraged homeowners fight back. I hope The Lost Liberty Hotel DOES get built so Souter can find out how it feels to be the little guy getting screwed over. I too will stand in line for a reservation!

Keep at it. Don’t give up. I think David souter should have his property taken, if only to experience what the citizen will go through as a result of this law.

We intend to reserve a room in the LOST LIBERTY HOTEL just as soon as the first shovelful of earth is removed from Souter’s land. We are not rich, but whatever the cost of the room, one hundred dollars per night or eight hundred dollars per night, it will be worth it. We expect that there will be a waiting list a mile long once the hotel is built, that’s why we will be making reservations BEFORE it is built (if that’s possible)
