It looks like we here at Taste Of Liberty are right once again, to borrow a little good natured arrogance from Rush Limbaugh.
Democrat operatives are organizing to disrupt Wal-Mart and harm their operations, carrying the water for the rejected labor unions. Most of these operatives are in their twenties.
In January, the UFCW hired Paul Blank, 29, former political director of the Howard Dean presidential campaign.
The group has two other former Dean staffers: political director Buffy Wicks, 27, and Jeremy Bird, 26, whose mother once worked for Wal-Mart. Brendan Bush, 25, who runs the group’s blog, worked for the Kerry campaign. Communications adviser Chris Kofinis, 35, helped originate the DraftWesleyClark.com campaign and was a strategist for TheNaderFactor.com, a Democratic group that worked to pull Nader voters to other candidates.
It seems to be a consistent position of the Democrat Party to be anti-business and therefore in favor of destroying the U.S. economy. They see America’s enterprise and economy as the engine of America’s power and unique place in the world, both of which they inherently despise, that is unless they can use it to force their agenda on the world. To the Democrat Party, business and economic prosperity are only of value when they provide a means of extortion for the Democrat Party.
Wal-Mart, as we have mentioned is a case in point. We have written about this previously.
But consider all that Wal-Mart has done for this country.
- They provide thousands of jobs in their operations, with decent benefits and for many people who otherwise would be unemployable.
- They have spawned thousands of other businesses and strengthened many others who supply Wal-Mart with inventory, supplies, utilities, construction, and the list just goes on and on. This has plowed millions of dollars into the economy and the pockets of workers.
- Wal-Mart has generated thousands upon thousands of dollars in savings for consumers with their tight margins and low prices, contributing in no small way to a low inflation picture.
- Wal-Mart has donated millions of dollars to local and national charitable causes.
- They have endeavored to run a clean operation, not stocking their shelves with the rot and debris found in other operations. It’s a place where you can feel comfortable taking your kids. (Maybe this is another reason they are so hated by the Democrats.)
- Wal-Mart is criticized for putting so many small businesses in the tank and driving them out of business. While this certainly does happen, some of these smaller business have found important niches and thrived in the midst of a Wal-Mart presence or have morphed into something that can service a Wal-Mart store. But Wal-Mart has done no worse in that regard than Home Depot or Best Buy or Target or the Auto Super Mall or TJ Maxx or… add your own name. Will these companies be next if they don’t contribute to the Democrat Party or their ideological allies?
To give you a heads up, here’s what will happen as the anti-Wal-Mart (read anti-business) operatives of the Democrat Party move into action:
They will pick a few, very few, Wal-Mart stores to target (no pun intended). These will be in areas where they think they can get the most sympathy from the people and the media. The operatives will gather a few people, very few, and carry their signs and chant their silly slogans. The Democrat operatives will call the media telling them they will be having this protest and when. The media, taking their orders from the Democrats, will rush out with cameras. The camera operator will pan the group with close-ups and position the camera so as to make a few people look like hundreds. They will do this on a busy Saturday when they can make it look like lots of folks support the operatives. The media will get very excited if Wal-Mart calls the cops and has them hauled off the property… private property no less. In that event the operatives will be trained to resist so that the cameras can record them being physically, and made to look violently, hauled off with appropriate screaming and such. Then the media will interview hundreds of employees and customers until they find two or three (like the recently fired employee disgruntled because Wal-Mart actually expected her to show up to work on time) who will say what they want to hear and that’s what you will hear and see on the “news”. That will get picked up by the national sycophant media and the campaign will be distorted by this media to make it look like a big movement in an effort to give the impression most of America hates Wal-Mart.
So when you see this, or some variation of it, you will know what it is, so don’t believe it. Don’t be fooled.
The best way to fight back and stop the Democrat Party assault on the U.S. economy is to make an extra effort to support Wal-Mart by shopping there and disrupt the operatives when the cameras are rolling saying things like, “I love Wal-Mart.” “Wal-Mart has saved me tons of money.” “My kids are safe at Wal-Mart.” “Stop attacking our favorite store, Democrats.” I’m sure you can make up your own. Jump right in front of the cameras. And smile.
And of course come election time you can campaign and vote for candidates of any political party that pledge not to assault American enterprise and our economy and then hold them to it.
The Democrat Party has been taken over by the radical left… Marxists, David Horowitz calls them. He should know. He was one. Don’t be surprised at the continued assault on America by the Democrat Party and their propaganda arm, the so-called “mainstream media.” Their extremist behavior, now unveiled, is an indication they are failing miserably. Main Street is not being fooled. But cornered, exposed, and desperate creatures do irrational and vicious things. So be on your guard. Discernment is a positive trait in these times.
