A Snake in the Delta.

Posted by Taste of Liberty at 7:43 am. Filed under: General

It looks like another snake has appeared in the Republican Party.

I suspect that a lot of people are getting fed up with self-centered politicians whose sole goal in life is to advance themselves in whatever way possible. Elected representatives of the people are supposed to act for the good of the country and the people in it rather than conniving to destroy the country for the sake of what they perceive to be their own political power.

Maybe it’s time to term limit these folks so that we might have Senators and Representatives who will put the people first rather than themselves and their “career”. It’s sad when you hear a young person say they are planning on going into politics as a career. Elected office was never intended to be a career. It was intended to blend the wisdom of everyday lives into the fabric of government. This was envisioned to be done by people leaving their jobs, businesses and farms for a short period of time to serve their country. We don’t need slithering politicians running our lives. We need real people as guardians of the public trust, those who understand what Main Street is all about.

That’s what I like about George Bush. He’s not out for his own gain. He’s trying to serve us and put our best interests first. And for that he’s maligned and ridiculed while the snakes get lauded and praised.

On the surface it seems like America has indeed lost its moorings. But I suspect that Main Street is alive and well and sees through this charade of the snakes.
