Are You as Stupid as Kofi Annan and the Media Think You Are?
Or are they both certifiable?
Kofi Annan seems to be a total nutcase. And the media must think everyone in the world is pretty stupid the way they just parrot the leftist party line. I mean it’s just amazing. Look at the way the media is going after all the little nooks and crannies of Tom DeLay hoping to find anything… anything! But dear Kofi and the U.N., complicit in the torture and murder of millions around the world in the largest financial kickback scandal in world history, and we see hardly any objection from the press. (Now as I think about it, the media seemed to like the idea of killing Terri Schiavo too.)
We get scammed with this shoddy Volker report and so-called investigation… stonewalled might be an appropriate term… (don’t you just love how the left insists on conducting investigations of their people; no serious witnesses called, no interviews, only get the records they want you to have, intimidate and destroy any whistleblowers or truth tellers, have your guys do the interrogating and evaluating, severely limit the scope of the investigation to peripheral trivia, and then issue a “non-partisan” report of exoneration with a few fall guys if necessary)… all the while, for seven months during the so-called investigation, Kofi’s right hand man is at the shredder “cleaning up the office”… anybody for buying a bridge in N.Y.?
… then we’re given a token sacrifice, Kofi’s son Kojo (now help me out all you folks who have sons out there, are we really supposed to believe you have no idea what your son is doing if he is working for you?)
… and then ol’ Kofi Annan has the audacity to say the U.N. needs a makeover to become more humanitarian. Maybe he figures Saddam needs a good laugh in the slammer.
If ol’ Kofi really thinks it’s time to reform maybe he could start by coming clean.
Here’s the AP reporting:
“The United Nations needs a new, permanent human rights body if it is to prevent appalling suffering around the world, Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Thursday.”
This would be really hilarious if it wasn’t so sad. I wonder how the millions of tortured and dead Iraqis are feeling right about now.
Then Kofi adds:
“We have reached a point at which the commission’s declining credibility has cast a shadow on the reputation of the United Nation’s system as a whole and where piecemeal reforms will not be enough. The commission’s ability to perform its tasks has been overtaken by new needs and undermined by the politicization of its sessions and the selectivity of its work.”
Am I the only one who sees through this drivel? This guy is certifiable. And I wonder what those “new needs” just might be… a better clandestine kickback mechanism or is it better internal security so the U.N. guys can get away with more rape and pillaging? Maybe it’s a high speed shredder. Seven months is kind of slow.
I mean if you need a good laugh just listen to this guy. Too bad the only people laughing are the global socialists and terrorists. I don’t think it’s too funny over in Darfur.
As the WSJ’s Opinion Journal divulges:
The greatest irony here is that for more than a year the U.S. had been virtually alone in trying to get the Security Council to take tougher action on Darfur. France and China, which have extensive oil interests in Sudan, weren’t interested, nor was Russia, which didn’t want to jeopardize its arms trade.
Hmmm… where have we seen those countries before? Saddam is probably laughing so hard he’s rolling on the floor right along with Dan Rather.
California Conservative comments:
The AP continues: “As part of a package of reforms unveiled last month, the secretary-general proposed a human rights council to replace the present commission.”
Well, well. What a great idea. Afterall, since being chaired by Muammar Qadhafi, Libya’s notorius dictator, one of the world’s worst abusers of human rights and a supporter of international terrorism, the U.N.’s Commission on Human Rights has lacked total credibility, to say the least. And let’s not forget the long-running accusations of anti-semitism and lack of any enforcement.
And Stargazer weighs in:
Furthermore, through its misconduct, negligence, and complacency the UN has aided terrorism worldwide. The United Nations was created to maintain international peace and help solve the world’s economic and humanitarian troubles, but the UN has failed time and time again to achieve its primary objectives.
Historically, government never downsizes voluntarily; it always increases its power and minimizes accountability to its citizens.
I really can’t help laughing when I read this stuff on Kofi. It really is amazing. What a con! And the left in America wants this guy and the U.N. to run our country and our lives. Now that’s a serious problem.
Anyone out there want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn? Kofi has a couple for sale.
