Being "disabled" makes poll respondents think about someone who is blind or in a wheel chair, being disabled is not being brain dead. Of course people don't want to starve someone who has awareness, but Terri didn't. I don't think she made her wishes clear enough to assume she wanted to be starved and dehydrated to death nor that she would have wanted her parents to be alienated and tormented in the way they have been.
