Cast of Characters in the Schiavo Case

The following is a compilation of the cast of characters related to the Schiavo case.

(Note: This is a work in progress. Items will be added as more information is gathered. To assist with the case of Terri Schiavo and to help the Schindlers with their continuing efforts, information provided here may be freely used with the condition that Myopic Zeal is credited with the compilation. This is a compilation taken from public records, news accounts, and information provided from a variety of other sources. If you have additional, credible information regarding a cast of characters please communicate with us.)

Disclaimer: This compilation is not intended to imply anything. It is an effort to compile a cast of characters as might be related to the Terri Schiavo case and their relationships as well as events possibly related to the cast. While deemed to be reliable to the best of our knowledge, as with any legal proceeding all information below should be double checked and verified.

  • Michael Schiavo, husband of Terri Schiavo and a Florida registered
    respiratory therapist and registered nurse (RN license RN9164785) He was issued his nursing license January 18th, 2000 and its expiration is April 30, 2005 (link via Daily Inklings).
    • Living with another woman (Jodi Centonze) who is not his wife and
      has two children by this woman.
    • Hired by Sheriff Everett Rice to work in the Inmates Medical Care
      Division of the Pinellas County Jail around October 11th, 2004
    • Listed as a director, Jerger & Centonze Insurance Agency, Inc., 2002; an inactive corp.
    • Admitted under oath on two occasions that Terri Schiavo did not have bulimia according to Attorney Patricia Anderson.
  • Jodi Centonze, girlfriend (sometimes called fiancee) of Michael Schiavo and mother of his two children.
    • Owns the address which is registered as the address of Jerger & Centonze Insurance Agency, Inc.
    • Mother is Eleanor Centonze.
  • Eleanor Centonze, mother of Michael Schiavo’s girlfriend.
    • Employed under Rice in the civil division of the Pinellas County Sheriff’s
      Dept. from 1979 until 1999.
    • Died in 2004
  • John Centonze, brother of Michael Schiavo’s girlfriend.
  • Trudy Capone, former girlfriend of Michael Schiavo although claims they were not romantically involved.
    • Indicates Michael had no idea what Terri wanted regarding a situation of incapacity.
    • Her affidavit is found here and is very compelling.
  • Cindy Shook Brashers, former girlfriend of Michael Schiavo.
  • George J. Felos, lawyer, hired by Michael Schiavo to be his attorney in mid-1997.
    • Felos & Felos, 595 Main St., Dunedin, FL 34698. Fax (727) 736-1402
    • Felos is a euthanasia advocate and prominent right-to-die attorney.
    • Past Chairman of Board of Directors for The Hospice of the Florida
      Suncoast.
    • Held board position from at least Feb. 13, 1997 to roughtly April 26, 2001.
    • Founding member of the National Legal Advisors Committee on Choice
      in Dying.
    • Graduated from BU School of Law
    • Author, “Litigation as Spiritual Practice” (Blue Dolphin
      Publishing, 2002) and creator of the Continuing Education Course (and article by the same name) called Meditation for Lawyers.
    • Admitted on Fox television’s Fox & Friends, April 1, 2005, that he has addressed the Hemlock Society, renamed the Choice in Dying Society, a pro-euthanasia group.
  • Jon R. Thogmartin, M.D. District Chief Medical Examiner, Pinellas County, FL
    • According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, “The mission of the Medical Examiner’s office is to fulfill the needs outlined in F.S. 406, to be of service to families of the deceased, and local government agencies. In short, our mission is to determine the cause and manner of death under certain circumstances. This mission requires the utmost objectivity irrespective of personal beliefs or emotional attachment to the circumstances of any particular case.”
    • Started the job in 2000.
    • “His major fields of interest are wound ballistics, firearms, infant deaths, child abuse, asphyxia, and forensic toxicology. ”
    • “Thogmartin has also done his share of teaching. In Texas, beginning in 1984, he was a teaching assistant at Southern Methodist in the Department of Chemistry, and at the University of Health Science Center at San Antonio in the Departments of Cellular and Structural Biology and Pathology. More recently, in Miami, at the Dade County Medical Examiner Office and IACP Seminar, he taught a course on Strangulation and Other Compressions. “

  • Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN senior medical correspondent.
    • Interviewed on March 29 and March 30, 2005 on Aaron Brown and Larry King. Was asked to comment on the brain scans of Terri Schiavo which they showed next to a scan of a normal brain. Inspite of leading questions, Gupta reiterated several times and made a point of emphasizing that no definitive state can be determined from an autopsy of the brain. Gupta stated several times that he had seen cases where the brain scan looked similar to Terri’s and the person was very functional. He had seen other scans that looked almost normal and the patient was without any function.
  • The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, Inc, 300 E. Bay Drive, Largo, FL 33770.
    • Assets approximately $25.5 million, revenues approx. $8 million, expenses approx. $6 million.
    • Files as a 501(c)(03) tax exempt organization.
    • Website: www.thehospice.org (based on the treatment Terri Schiavo has received under the care of this hospice organization, caution and reasonable skepticism are advised when reading this site.)
    • Operates Woodside Hospice where Terri Schiavo was moved by Michael Schiavo and George Felos without authorization nor proper certification as to terminal illness.
    • According to the Hospice:
      “Woodside, a community-supported hospice house, provides around-the-clock care in a home-like setting for patients who are unable to remain in other living arrangements. Hospice Villas Woodside permit patients and families independent living with professional help close at hand.”
    • Re: nursing homes
      “The Hospice works in partnership with local nursing homes to meet the needs of residents nearing the end of life.”
    • Subject of two lawsuits regarding breach of confidentiality with medical records by its for-profit subsidiary, Suncoast Solutions in 2002-03.
  • Mary Labyak, Executive Director and President, The Hospice of the
    Florida Suncoast which oversees Woodside Hospice.
    • Current board member of the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
    • Board member of Partnership for Caring (a direct offspring of the
      Euthanasia Society of America).
    • Board member of National Hospice Foundation
    • National Director and Treasurer of National Hospice and Palliative
      Care Organization (NHPCO)
  • Dr. Ronald Cranford, M.D. is the neurologist hired by Michael Schiavo.
    • Cranford is a renowned euthanasia advocate referring to
      himself as “Dr. Humane Death.”
    • Authored a section in “Intended Death: The Ethics of Assisted
      Suicide and Euthanasia”. His section addresses the issue of “the
      physician’s role in killing and the intentional withdrawal of
      treatment.” (WND article)
    • Cranford examined Terri Schiavo one time for 45 minutes. It was his testimony and medical opinion on which Judge Greer based his entire “finding of fact”.
    • Admitted on CNN, March 30, 2005 that he had misdiagnosed at least one case of “permanent vegetative state” (PVS) in the case of Sergeant Mack in 1979 or 1980. He was never asked if there were others.
    • Cranford has been involved in numerous PVS cases as an advocate for death. Some of these are very suspect (In the case of Nancy Cruzan for example, she did not even require a feeding tube but Cranford said she should be starved insisting that food and water were considered medical treatment.) Cranford is hardly an objective medical consultant and is used frequently as a pro-death advocate. You can find it all here along with some doctors who have called the medical behavior in this case “criminal”.
  • Dr. Peter D. Bambakidis, M.D., Neurosurgeon, Cleveland, Ohio
    • Hired by Michael Schiavo team to evaluate Terri Schiavo and her records.
    • Admitted under oath before Judge Greer that Terri Schiavo did not have a heart attack. That testimony is found here.
  • Gus Michael Bilirakis, Florida State Representative, 1998-2000 and
    2001-2003.
    • Board member of The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
    • Co-sponsor of Florida Bill HB 2131 with addition to Section
      765.101 ( beginning on line 28 of page 14 of the linked pdf file)
    • Note: Section 765.101 of this bill added the following language, “(10) ‘Life-prolonging procedure’ means any medical procedure, treatment, or intervention, including artificially provided sustenance and hydration, (meaning food and water…ed.) which sustains, restores, or supplants a spontaneous vital function.” (12) “Persistent vegetative state” means a permanent and irreversible condition of unconsciousness in which there is:
      (a) The absence of voluntary action or cognitive behavior of any kind.
      (b) An inability to communicate or interact purposefully with the environment.
    • Member of Elder Care and Long Term Care committee in House, the
      committee that introduced HB 2131.
    • Was a campaign contributor to Judge George Greer.
  • Barbara Sheen Todd, Pinellas County commissioner during time Judge
    George Greer was a commissioner in Pinellas County.

      present.

    • Outstanding Service Award in Educating the Public and Restoring Public Trust and Confidence in the legal System, Florida Bar, 2002.
    • Jurist of the Year, 1997, awarded by the American Academy of MatrimonialFlorida Chapter
  • Martha Lenderman, Board member of the Hospice of the Florida
    Suncoast since 1996.
    • Past chairman of the board of the Hospice.
    • Board of directors of the U. of South Florida Collaborative for
      Children, Families, and Communities.
    • Principal, Lenderman & Associates.
    • Lost in a bid for State Representative (Dem.) in 1998.
    • Former state child welfare administrator.
    • Board member, 2005, Area Agency on Aging, Pasco & Pinellas
      counties, Pres. 2003.
    • Consultant to the Dept. of Children and Family Services (DCFS) at
      least during 2001.
    • Dept. of Health & Rehabilitative Services (HRS) program
      supervisor, at least during 1989.
    • Was called to testify as a health and human services consultant by
      the attorney general’s office in 2005 in Holli Bodner hearing on
      suspension of Bodner’s psychiatrist license. Lenderman testified on
      behalf of Bodner.
    • Lenderman & Associates provided services to Pinellas County
      commissioners regarding Mental Health and Substance Abuse funding in
      1999 and 2000

  • Jennifer Lima-Smith, attorney for the Department of Children and Families.
    • Requested in March, 2005 that Judge Greer order all Department of Children and Families (DCF) files and records sealed relating to more than 80 charges of abuse to Terri Schiavo. Lima-Smith commented in her request, “That it was time to put an end to this case.” (Since DCF never investigated any of these more than 80 complaints it’s hard to see how you put an end to something that was never started.)
    • Judge Greer ordered the files and records sealed March 31, except that Michael Schiavo would be allowed to see them.
    • Does sealing mean these records will be destroyed as was done by the Department of Health with the records pertaining to the malpractice lawsuit from which Michael Schiavo received nearly $2 million, the majority of which was supposed to be for the care of Terri Schiavo, although Medicare paid for her care? Or will Michael be able to alter the records like Sandy Berger?
  • Jonathan Alpert, federal attorney
    • Suing the Hospice of Florida Suncoast for patient brokering.
    • US Dept. of HHS is currently trying to collect $14.8 million from Suncoast Hospice owed to HHS since 1997.
  • Carla Sauer Iyer, R.N. employed at Palm Gardens of Largo
    Convalescent Center from April of 1995 to July 1996 while Terri
    Schiavo was a patient there.
  • Carolyn Adams, known as “Andy” Adams, LPN at Palm Garden Convalescent Center.
    • Had disproportionate number of patients die on her shift according
      to affidavit of Carla Iyer.
    • Was very friendly with Michael Schiavo when working at Palm
      Garden.
  • Heidi Law, Certified Nurse Assitant
    • Worked at Palm Garden of Largo Convalescent Center from March, 1997 to mid-summer 1997.
    • Took care of Terri Schiavo.
    • Testified orders for rehabilitation were given for Terri Schiavo but that Michael stopped them.
    • Her affidavit is here.
  • C. Johnson, LPN at Sabal Gardens nursing home, Largo, FL.
    • Took care of Terri Schiavo.
    • Affidavit indicates Michael Schiavo went against doctor’s orders and refused to allow any rehabilitation for Terri.
    • Affidavit is found here.
  • Palm Garden of Largo Convalescent Center, 10500 Starkey Rd., Largo, Florida 33777. (727) 397-8166
    • Terri Schiavo was a resident there until March 2000.
    • Part of a chain owned by Florida Convalescent Centers, Inc., 2033 Main St., Suite 300, Sarasota, FL 34237
  • Everett Rice, former Pinellas County Sheriff, 1988-2004
    • Became Florida State Representative, District 54 in Nov. 2004
    • Endorsed Judge George Greer for reelection in campaign ads.
    • Former board member The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast
    • Hired Michael Schiavo while Schiavo’s guardianship proceedings were in the courtroom of his long time friend Judge George Greer.
  • Judge George W. Greer, Sixth Circuit Court Judge for Pinellas
    County, elected unopposed in 1992.
    • Circuit Court, Pinellas County, Probate Division, 315 Court St., Room 484, Clearwater, FL 33756 Fax (727) 464-5471
    • Legally blind.
    • Friend of Everett Rice, former sheriff of Pinellas County, FL
    • Former Commissioner of Pinellas County, 1984-1992
    • Became Terri Schiavo’s caretaker and fact finder under Florida law
      (meaning advocate and judge). This would appear to be a conflict.
    • Judge Greer’s bio is curiously missing from those listed on the sixth circuit website, www.jud6.org.
    • Repeatedly refused to consider documented evidence of physical abuse.
    • Ordered the Department of Children and Families to disobey state law. Info found here.
  • Patricia Anderson, attorney for the Schindlers.
    • Filed affidavit saying that [Everett] Rice had told her that he and [Judge George] Greer had discussed the Schiavo case at a ball game the night previous .
    • Filed motion requesting Greer recuse himself.
    • When bone scans of Terri Schiavo appeared in 2002 (having been suppressed since 1991 when they were taken) Judge Greer prevented Anderson from investigating the implications of the scan, saying they were irrelevant. The bone scans indicated severe trauma that occured no more than 18 months prior to the date of the scans. (See Dr. William Walker.)
    • Said on Sean Hannity interview, March 31, 2005 that EMT report on night of Terri Schiavo incident listed it as suspicious and on that basis the sheriff’s department was called to the scene by the EMT. No investigation ever occured. The person who wrote the report has left the area. Another EMT refuses to talk according to Anderson.
    • In same interview, Anderson said that the bone scans were requested after Terri continually expressed pain during attempts to give her physical therapy. Among the injuries discovered were a broken back near the neck, broken leg bones, broken ribs, and fractures.
  • Pamela Campbell, attorney.
    • Represented the Schindlers pro bono (free) in 2000.
    • Was allegedly requested to take the Schindler’s case by the attorney who represented Michael Schiavo in the malpractice lawsuit (Woodworth) in 1998.
    • Has serious conflicts of interest, potential ethics violations, and her apparent incompetence in the case is highly suspect. Her “mistake” might well have sealed the fate of Terri Schiavo. Find it all here.
  • Jackie Rhodes, close friend of Terri Schiavo.
    • Testified at trial on January 6, 2000
    • A portion of that testimony is found here.
  • Dr. Victor Gambone, MD, CMD, Terri Schiavo’s attending physician
    from 1998-2003.
    • His name appeared on a paper stating Terri was PVS (permanent
      vegetative state) but it was never signed by him. This was apparently
      a fraudulent document.
    • During a 2002 medical evidentiary hearing, Dr. Victor Gambone
      testified that he certified Terri as terminally ill so that she could
      be placed in Woodside Hospice. When questioned under oath why, he said
      it was because Michael told him to do so.

    • However, it states on the certificate that it is a verbal
      certification, no signature. This would explain comment above. Must
      be signed to be valid.
    • Testified before Judge Greer that Terri Schiavo was not PVS and
      was aware of her surroundings.
    • Greer had asked Gambone to do an evaluation, but rejected his
      findings.
    • Gambone reportedly worked for George Felos at Woodside Hospice.
    • Current president, Florida Medical Directors Association.
  • Bernie McCabe, elected State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial
    District in 1992. Office in Clearwater, FL. Covers Pinellas County.
    • This is the same district as Judge Greer.
    • Responsibilities include investigating abuse charges.
    • Refused to investigate various potential felony charges against
      Michael Schiavo in 2003 under statute 825.103.
    • Has repeatedly refused to intervene in the allegations of the abuse of Terri Schiavo.
    • McCabe has allegedly been involved in numerous ‘refuse to investigate’ cases. See Mel Sembler.
  • Dr. Michael Baden, New York forensic pathologist.
    • Former chief medical examiner for the City of New York
    • Co-director of the Medicolegal Investigation Unit of the New York
      State Police
    • Reversed his view of Terri Schiavo’s condition after examining her
      bone scans. Those injuries could have happened, Baden continued, from
      “some kind of trauma. The trauma could be from an auto accident, the
      trauma could be from a fall, or the trauma could be from some kind of
      beating that she obtained from somebody somewhere. It’s something that
      should have been investigated in 1991 . . . and maybe [it was] by

  • Dr. William Campbell Walker, Doctor who did the original bone scan
    and the evaluation completed on Mar.5, 1991.
    • Walker wrote, “This patient has a history of trauma. The presumption is that the other areas of trauma also relate to previous trauma.”

    • Walker indicates in his deposition that trauma injuries had occurred.
  • Dr. Joel S. Prawer, the doctor Michael Schiavo sued.
    • The doctor was exonerated of wrongdoing but settled at the insistence of his insurance company.
    • Dr. Prawer turned over all his records relating the case to the Department of Health. They reviewed his case and found him innocent of wrongdoing and malpractice. Subsequent to this finding all records relating to this case were destroyed by the Dept. of Health (DOH).
  • Mitchell Turner, a Florida Dept. of Children and Families investigator.
    • Reported alleged felony abuse, neglect, and exploitation of Terri Schiavo. This report was the conclusion of a 60 Day investigation in Nov. and Dec. 2001.
    • The report was suppressed by the Department’s legal division.
  • Dr. Stanton Tripodis, enlisted by Michael Schiavo to provide services for Terri.
    • Has five previous malpractice suits against him.

      FL by Philadelphia Consolidated Holding Corp. for $40 million, 1999.
    • Michael R. Schiavo listed as a director in 2002, with same address as above.
    • Corp. listed as inactive.
    • This address is listed as owned by Jodi A. Centonze in Pinellas County appraisers records.
    • Note: Richard M. Jerger, Jr., stockholder in Philadelphia Consolidated Holding Corp, sold 2902 shares of stock in July,2001 for $102,933… put this in the ‘for what it’s worth’ department.
  • Senator Jim King, originally upheld the passage of “Terri’s Law.” (S 12 E)
    • Board member of Woodside Hospice
    • Received campaign contributions from Richard M. Jerger, Jr., of Jerger & Centonze Insurance. (Mr. Jerger lived in a different district).
    • Called his support of Terri’s Law “The Terri Schiavo vote that I made was probably one of the worst votes that I’ve ever done”
  • Bishop Robert N. Lynch, Terri’s Catholic bishop.

  6. The plot thickens. Greer has the admiration and backing of his peers, or superiors. One can only imagine what this may have done for his confidence in his own methods and security.

    For his decisions, Greer has received criticism, insults and death threats.

    But Friday, his record garnered Greer the Clearwater bar’s highest honor for a judge.

    “Yet, in the teeth of all that, he has steadfastly demonstrated exactly what the John U. Bird award was created to honor: high ideals, personal character, judicial competence and service,” lawyer Wally Pope said before bestowing the honor.

  12. this doesn’t reflect a “tremendous amount of research”. it probably took less than one hour to compile this information.

    i also don’t see why michael schiavo’s “sometimes called fiancee(’s)” deceased mother qualifies as a member of your “cast of characters”. are you saying the connection between michael schiavo and his “sometimes called fiance(’s)” deceased mother has influenced sheriff rice and somehow impaired his professional judgment?

  13. i am referring to your entry on Eleanor Centonze the “mother of Michael Schiavo’s girlfriend”, not Michael Schiavo’s mother. i don’t see how that “interrelationship” is relevant.

    I don’t recall your disclaimer when i first visted your site. perhaps it was an additional proviso after i left my comment.

    MZ: The disclaimer has been there all along, but regardless, if you don’t feel it is relevant, that is fine and may in fact be true. However it is certainly a relationship of the parties involved, and some might even argue that it is more relevant. After all, according to various sources, Michael Schiavo and Jodi intend to marry when Terri has passed away. She certainly has an interest in the turn of events. Whether or not there is any influence or even knowledge of each other is not something we can determine without a direct knowledge of the parties personally, however it certainly qualifies as a relationship in this incredibly tangled web which is full of potential conflicts of interest.

    TOL responds: I’m surprised that you don’t find it valid to include Eleanor Centonze on this list. Let me help you out. Eleanor Centonze worked in the sheriff’s office for twenty years. Sheriff Rice was the sheriff during much of that time. Sheriff Rice hired Michael Schiavo . Michael Schiavo has two children by Jodi Centonze, Eleanor’s daughter. Sheriff Rice, now state representative Rice, was on the board of directors of the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. George Felos, Michael Schiavo’s lawyer was president of the board of that hospice. Judge Greer is good friends with Rice. The Hospice operates Woodside Hospice where Terri Schiavo is being kept and she was moved there without authorization or proper certification. Michael Schiavo is also listed as a director on the inactive corporation of Jerger & Centonze Insurance Agency whose address is the same as Jodi Centonze. It appears these people are all too cozy for a fair hearing for Terri Schiavo. Maybe it’s just pure coincidence. I’m not sure coincidence condemns an innocent woman to the torture of starvation and dehydration, but I may be wrong. At the very least as MZ points out she qualifies as a relationship in this case for the reasons stated above.

    Let me reiterate too what MZ said. Our purpose in this Cast of Characters is to point out these relationships and to make it easier for anyone who may be interested in trying to connect the dots with some additional research to attempt to do so, if the dots can indeed be connected. It is a point of origin all in one place. As to the time it took, it is our interest to locate prime source information or that which we deem to be very reliable. Since there is so much floating around out there, verifying it takes alot of time. We are doing our best to be accurate.

  17. Your obsession with the personal details of private citizens is disturbing. The presence of a disclaimer will do you no good if one of these people are harassed and find that this is the source of the information.

You can think of it like a page of a major news outlet’s website that lists all of the characters in the O.J. Simpson trial, if it helps you for perspective.

  27. Saving Schiavo’s Soul

    The ongoing debate over the fate of Terri Schiavo is a revealing example of the differences between a secular and a religious world view. Those who advocate that Terry be kept alive and those supporting her right to die have two very different conceptions of the soul. The difference is crucial because differences in their metaphysical views have significant ethical and political implications.

    According to the secular philosophy, the soul is the essence of who an individual is – the essence of his character, and the motive force of his actions. It is a unique trait of human beings, who are able to guide their own actions and their course in life through the exercise of their conceptual consciousness. Because the mind is a consequence of the process of the brain, the soul is also made possible by the biological processes of the human body and cannot exist without it. Life, in the secular philosophy, is a process of acting on values of one’s choosing, and happiness is the consequence of their successful accomplishment. This goes on until one cannot or does not choose to engage in the process of value-pursuit and dies.

    According to the religious philosophy, the soul is a spiritual entity, separable from the body, and exists in some non-material realm apart from the material world. According to this philosophy, the soul is an immortal entity temporarily attached to a physical body by the whim of an all-powerful being. Since the soul does not “belong” to the mortal being, it comes with certain conditions, usually whatever the local mystics deem to be proper. According to the religious philosophy, a moral life consists of dutifully following the commandments of a higher being in order to make one’s soul less susceptible to misery in a future state of existence, such as heaven, Valhalla, or an afterlife. Since the choice to live is not up to mortal humans to make, the choice to die cannot be either, since their soul and thus their life does not belong to them. Furthermore, the end of mental activity does not mean the death of the soul, which remains trapped in the body as long as it is biologically alive, just as an fetus possesses a soul prior to developing a conceptual consciousness.

    The vast difference and the ethical implications of these world views should be clear. In the secular philosophy, man has a “self-made soul” that he shapes and that shapes his life. In the mystic philosophy, man is granted his soul by a god and must obey that deity or expose the soul to “eternal damnation” in the beyond. Religious groups oppose the right to die for the same reason that they oppose happiness as the ultimate moral end: it represents a threat to their conception of human nature.

    Terri Schiavo is not an isolated case, as lawmakers claimed when they blatantly disregarded the Constitution and federalism in an attempt to preserve her body – it is an example of the same reasoning they use to oppose the right to die and abortion. It is a reasoning that denies the essential difference between human beings and carrots on a mental and physical level and claims instead that the difference exists in some unreachable, imperceptible, and unknowable realm. It is no wonder then, why they must resort to force to bully their beliefs on those who live their lives for a this-worldly purpose.

He said that only a few angry white men who are radical and habitual are angry over Terri’s plight. See how they like to be starved to death. I just don’t understand why these Florida “Big Rigs” couldn’t grow so balls and helped Terri. Isn’t it a shame that it takes a death to get any form of justice. I hope Felos, Micheal, Judge Greer and the sheriff get what they deserve.     An Epitaph For Terri

    Dear Terri,

    I want you to know that as I write this epitaph to you, I do so with sadness of thought and sorrow in my heart. Rather than face any congregation, I hope that some small part of the world will have the opportunity to read my thoughts as well as my words. If I did not write these words, I would feel that there is a vacancy in my heart as well as my soul.

    Hopefully, you will accept the idea that you did not die in vain for there were many who had your best interests at heart and you will serve as an example of the injustices that we all must face on any given day. Your memory will serve as a symbol for those of us who struggle to protect those who are unable to protect themselves. The only weapons that we have at our command are the prayers that we pray to our God and the voices that we raise towards those who would unjustly rule over us.

    No matter how incapacitated you might have been, our thoughts were that as long as your breathed life, there was hope for your eventual recovery and a place for you in this world. Admittedly, others thought differently and they sought to end your life and unfortunately, they succeeded. Now, we must go on and face the onslaught that will be presented to us because, sadly, there will be others like you where the curtain of life will be drawn and in many cases, prematurely. All that we asked was that you be given a chance to live and not to die. We have all been enveloped by a Culture of Death and it remains to be seen if we have the strength and fortitude to defeat it. The forces that we face are quite schooled in forcing their will upon others and are devious at best because they oftentimes come with a smile on their faces, but with evil in their hearts.

    I have lived long enough to gain some experience in life and it saddens me to witness how far our Nation has deteriorated in it’s respect for and the preservation of life. There was a time when the citizens of our Country acted in valor to save lives and no matter as to race, creed or color. These rescuers were not out to prove a point nor did they act in selfish interest by expressing a particular ideology whether that ideology be one of politics, religious belief or personal gain. Many of them acted according to the situation at the time and without any regard to their own well being. Their only thought was to save another human being and oftentimes at great risk to themselves. In your case, I did not witness any valor on the part of others, but rather, they were willing to sacrifice your life in order to prove a point or relieve themselves of the obligation that your continued existence placed upon them. It was no act of valor to deny you food or drink, but rather a callous act of deprivation. Their only design was to make you die. The only example they provided for the rest of us was how ruthless they could be towards another human being. Theirs is not an example that I would wish to pass on to my own children as it is an evil one and evil corrupts and destroys the soul. It is like a beast in the jungle. Once it kills, it is easy for it to kill again.

    As for your own family, I have to tell you that from what I have seen and read, they fought the good fight, but oftentimes the pure of heart don’t often win. The fact that they stood and faced those who were intent on taking your life speaks volumes for the rest of us who, for all practical purposes, might not have had the strength to do the same. Because of them, you should be most proud and I hope that in some way, my words might reach them. If anything, they can take heart in knowing that many of us shared their agony throughout your final ordeal.

    Where my Country is concerned, I must tell you that I am quite disappointed because wherever our flag has flown it has always served as an example for other peoples and lands. The principles for which that flag once stood now has had a stain placed upon it. True, we have gone to war to protect not only our own principles, but, in many cases, to spread the ideals for which our flag stood. Wherever death has occurred while fighting under that flag it has always been for a noble purpose. Never has it been known that we would deprive another human being the essentials of life, but now we have and worse yet, we have denied those essentials to one of our own. We now must bow our heads in shame because we have been corrupted by the very same ruthless ideologies that we oftentimes have fought against throughout the ages.

    So, Dear Terri, we now have come to a turning point in our long history of protecting human values and worth. The question remains as to whether or not we will gather together the forces necessary to prevent what has happened to you from happening to others. Or, do we slide further into the abyss and repeat what other great cultures have done before our own and that is to start to destroy those things that we considered most sacred. Is it not time to say enough is enough? If you can take any satisfaction in your sacrifice, you can trust that you have awakened our Nation to a new cause. We are now called upon to reaffirm the values that were written in our Nation’s Constitution and that is to, “…protect life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

    May you rest upon Angel’s wings,

But I have one more “character” who my research reveals to be an important character and, with your help, may prove to be more than that: Gloria Centonze. She admitted in a cable news interview to being “one of the first nurses” to attend to Terri schiavo in 1990-1991, yet I cannot locate any legal license for her. She claims she “accidentally” met John Centonze and they have married. She has testified under the name “Gloria Centonze” in a 1997 court paper, yet I can find no marriage license. She contradicted her husband, John, on exactly when Jodi Centonze and Michael Schiavo met. George Felos has used her as a “private paid duty nurse” according to public financial statements and to “monitor” the parents’ visit to Terri. I think she is a vital link to the bone scan records “missing” in 1991 and “reappearing” suddenly in 2003. Your “cast of characters should be sent to EVERY major news organization because these FACTS you have concisely compiled SPEAK VOLUMES to the truth.Thank you again…Gloria Google

Also feel free to alert the major news organizations and point them to our chart but I suspect they are not interested since it doesn’t fit their pro-euthanasia template. One legacy of Terri Schiavo is that she exposed these “news” organizations and the liberal franchise for who they really are; phonies shrouding themselves in the cloak of compassion and concern for the downtrodden, the abused and the helpless. Their only concern for these people centers around how it helps them exploit these groups to further their power agenda and bankrupt ideology. It is horrendously self-serving.

  39. Concerning Judge Greer, a check into contributions to his election which can be found on the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections website, indicates that he accepted money from Hospice. Sounds like a conflict of interest to me. Hmmmm.

  43. I have found that real reason Terri was in her “coma”. She had been abducted by Aliens and probed -. It was this mind probe that had paralised Terri.

    I was told by the Greys that the paralisis was an accident but it was wearing off. The autopsy would have shown that she was pregnant with a alien hybrid. Since Bush has a secret alliance with the Greys they will make sure that this will not be revealed. Watch the news for the doctor doing the autopsy for he will have a “fatal” car accident.     One of my cases in court, a habeas pleas made in 2003, lost on a 4-3 split decision on rehearing in case number SC03-2420, before the Florida Supreme Court; The governor’s case, SC04-925, before the same court, by contrast, lost on a 7-0 decision.

    Laws about life and death are serious. Any laws about it should have been presented to the people. I don’t know or care how the law got into place because most people didn’t know about it.     Starving someone kills them and it belonged at the top of our voting forms. Do you think we don’t realize that it could be our sister next time?

    We told the legislative branch, now we’ll tell you. You interpret laws to serve yourselves or quietly pass them and then bully people with them, Americans are going to shoot you out of your seat faster than you can say “impeachment”.

    By the way, when Congress requested that the facts be checked, they didn’t pull that out of the air. We asked them to. Everyone seems to forget this.

    In light of that, that request from Congress is what we call a Law.

    Now, whether you and the rest like you consider it valid or not, it’s a law from the people and it is strongly suggested you obey it. Otherwise, you and yours are breaking the law. Judges breaking the law will be arrested just like anyone else.

    Know this: We, the people rule America.

    The people includes a disabled girl that cannot speak for herself, as well as her family. When you gave her husband guardianship, did you even know that, women her age are quite likely to die at the hands of their mates ? Nevermind, if we had doubts about the case, then you have doubts about it.

    What have you done to the appeals process? It’s more of an echo. If judges refuse to review a case because another judge has ruled on it, then the second judge is doing nothing but checking my lawyer’s form.

    Is this your idea of justice?

    “DCF had filed a motion to intervene in the case, seeking a 60-day stay of death order to give the agency time to conduct its probe.saying that they receied some 30 allegations of abuse, fingering Michael Schiavo as the suspected abuser.”
    DCF investigators had reviewed some prior allegations of abuse and wanted to proceed, they were repeatedly stonewalled by their supervisors and told to “back off”.
    Frank Nagetani, chief DCF attorney, was a contributor to Greer”s election campaigns and also previously appeared before Greer to block testimony of a DCF investigator in the case in 2002, an obvious conflict of interest. I would presume that Frank Nagetani should appropriately be added to the Cast of Characters and Title’s Graphics.

    2001-2003. According to the Empire Journal, they said Gus Michael Bilirakis not only sits on the board, he owns the Suncoast Woodside Hospice. So here are my thoughts, FL Rep Gus Biliankis, mentioned above as supporting the change to the Death With Dignity Law in 1999, is the son of Mike Biliankis, US Congressman for Pinellas County, who “nominated” Dr. Hammesfahr for the Nobel Prize.

    Mike is retiring, and Gus is running for his seat. Shouldn’t be much of a problem for him to win; the last name’s the same, and Mike hasn’t had any REAL opposition for years.

    So, Gus is a Director of SunCoast/owner and supported changes to the law that, as had been said, took away Terri’s Right to Life, and his dad writes Nobel Prize nominations for Dr. Hammesfahr, a supporter of The Schindlers.

  59. Actually, there is more than that. I have a paper trial 10 miles long and police reports in my local town. Check what Schiavo, Felos and Greer did on the same day Terri was dehydrated to death for almost 14 long days.

    DOJ Directs HHS To Investigate Schiavo ADA Complaint

    The Disability Rights Section of the U.S. Department of Justice has directed the Office for Civil Rights of the Department of Health and Human Services to investigate a complaint filed in the Terri Schindler-Schiavo case to determine if alleged discrimination by a public entity violated the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

  118. Oh My, Dr Cranford has liver cancer and is retiring from his murderous work. Wonder if he will deprive himself of water and food to hasten his death? Has his perspective changed now that he is facing the grim reaper? Liver cancer is very painful and a slow, agonizing death. Am I gloating?
    Probably, and with good cause since law enforcement didn’t do their job investigating this obvious conpiracy to Kill Terri Schiavo. Ronald Cranford has killed many. Heck, Woodside Hospice lobbied for the laws to be changed to kill her. I love how Karma never fails.

    Brother Paul said that Schiavo received a standing ovation from the group that had convened to honor Dr. Ronald Cranford, senior physician and assistant chief of the Department of Neurology before his retirement after he was diagnosed with liver cancer.
